Why it matters

• The 6th-largest solar power plant in Namibia by capacity (of 69 operating, under-construction and planned solar facilities tracked).
• If completed, it would add 130 MW to Namibia's solar fleet — equivalent to 40% of today's operating solar capacity.
• Utility-scale solar produces electricity during daylight hours; its value to the grid increasingly depends on storage and transmission connections.
